The workshop will feature iMapInvasives, an online and mobile invasive species mapping system, and include a hands-on, outdoor component at a local preserve. Short talks will cover different ways to use iMapInvasives in a college or university setting including a prioritization exercise.

About the event
The workshop will feature iMapInvasives, an online and mobile invasive species mapping system, and include a hands-on, outdoor component at a local preserve. Short talks will cover different ways to use iMapInvasives in a college or university setting including a prioritization exercise applicable for biology/ecology students as well as examples of using the iMap Web Map Service (WMS) for custom maps on a website. The workshop will conclude with an invasive species-focused walk at nearby Ann Lee Pond Nature Preserve, with participants collecting data on invasive species with the iMap mobile app.
