How do I edit my user account information?

You can edit the information associated with your user account.  After you have logged in to iMapInvasives, your dashboard page will appear.  Under Your Account,  select the Edit tool at the upper right side of the page.  Your user account details will be displayed and you will note that you can change the information in most of the boxes on the top.  These can be edited by the user at anytime.

I have forgotten my password, can I create a new one?

Forgot your password? Follow these quick and easy steps to reset your password.

    1. Navigate to: , enter your username (email) at the top           of the page.

    2. Select "Forgot Password" and enter the email address of your iMapInvasives account,  when                                   prompted.  

    3. Follow the link within the reset password email to reset your password and confirm your account.  If you              do not receive an email, check your SPAM or junk email box.  If you do not receive an email with 24                      hours, please contact us at to make sure the address associated with your                             account is valid.

How can I view data on the Public Map?

The public map shows the distribution of some invasive species within New York State.  If you do not find your invasive species you are looking for, please login to iMapInvasives.  If you do not have a NY iMapInvasives account, feel free to create one.

Can I edit the coordinates of my observation?

Yes, you can edit the coordinates of an observation you have entered.  This may be done at any point after the observation is entered (pink point) but before it is confirmed (green point).  Select More Info and follow the directions to assist you in changing the coordinates of your observation.
